Easy Necklace

Today, I thought I would show you an easy way to make your own simple necklace. No fancy techniques to know and a great way to start making your own jewelry designs.

All you have to do is have a pretty focal object like a bead or pendant, a piece of suede cording the length of your choosing and these nifty clasp ends.  I don't remember is the actual Lobster Claw Clasp was part of the end or if you had to purchase it separately.

I don't have a pair of clasps that open at the moment to show you.  But here is what you do -  simply slide your bead or focal object on the cording.  Then attach one of the clasp units to one end of the cording by simply placing the clasp over the end of the cord. Take a pair of chain nose pliers and simply squeeze tightly to attach.  Repeat the other end of Cording with the other part of the Clasp.  Viola, you know have a very easy and simple necklace.

I believe the suede cording may come in a variety of colors and thicknesses, so lots to choose from to create your own style.

Left side is sitting on it side so you can see where you just
squeeze the two metal legs together over the suede cord.

I got my cording, clasp and ends from Beadin' Mon! You can even get some one of kind local artisan focal beads here too.  Beadin' Mon! has lots of lovely things to be creative with.  Until next time, Happy Beadin'
